Each year on the anniversary of Miss Ella Jo Baker’s birth and death, we host the annual Legacy event bringing together the Bay Area community to celebrate a piece of Miss Baker’s life and legacy.

Miss Baker believed deeply in the leadership of young people to make social change. This year we wanted to look at the upswell of inspiring young activists involved in the movement for immigrant rights.

Justice Knows No Borders will highlight the voices of young activists and allies in the immigrant rights movement.

From DREAM activists to the Black Alliance for Just Immigration and AYPAL, young leaders are changing our national conversation about immigration, human dignity and borders. Join us for a panel looking at the opportunities to continue to secure respect and rights for immigrants to our country.
