Neo-African-AmericansElla Baker Center, the Black Alliance for a Just Immigration and the Laney College Black Student Union are proud to launch a new film series that addresses such questions as: Who is American? Who owns America? Who builds America?

Our first film, "Neo-African-Americans," explores how rapid, voluntary immigration from Africa and the Caribbean is transforming the "African-American" narrative. It uncovers diversity of the African diaspora in America. "The Neo-African-Americans is a living documentary, a conversation. It's a conversation about identity, ...about America, it's a conversation about immigration, and for that matter, the global movement of people." -- Kobina Aidoo, Director
